The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district, Sen. Sunday Stephen Karimi, has launched a registration portal of N100 million bursary award for students from his constituency.
This is contained in a statement by the Senator’s Media Team and made available to journalists on Saturday in Lokoja.
According to the statement, a total of 1000 students studying in various public tertiary institutions across the country, who are indigene of Kogi west Senatorial district will benefit from the N100 million bursary award for 2024..
The statement said the gesture was in furtherance to Karimi’s efforts towards ensuring that students from Kogi west are assisted in their quest to acquiring quality education by rendering financial assistance to them.
The statement said the registration portal will open officially on July 22, and closes on August 19.
“The registration portal for the sum of one hundred million naira yearly students bursary promised by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi will be opened to Applicants across the district on Monday, 22nd July, 2024.
“This is available to all Kogi west students in public tertiary institutions (Undergraduates) across the country.
“Any application made before Monday, 22nd July will be voided and the applicant(s) disqualified.
“It is note worthy that the registration will close on the 19th August, 2024, after which nobody would have the opportunity to apply again.
“We enjoin every interested students in any higher institutions of learning who are indigene of Kogi West to seize this opportunity and apply within the time frame,” it stated.
The statement advised the interested candidates to visit https://portal.sundaykarimi.org/signup/ to submit their application as from July 22.
Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the initiative, Karimi reaffirmed commitment towards ensuring that all youths from Kogi West have access to quality education.
He stressed that the gesture would help in shaping the lives of the youths towards building a better future for themselves and for the society at large.

Application steps:
- Visit https://portal.sundaykarimi.org/signup/
- Once on the Website, on the Menu bar, select the “Student Bursary” and Click “Signup”
- You will be taken to the application form page; ensure that you fill all the fields that are mandatory (*), otherwise your application will not be accepted. It is advised to complete all the fields.
- Once you have completed your application, you will receive a verification link to your email provided by you, click the verification link to complete your registration.
- Once verified, you will have an application dashboard, all applicants that are found eligible will be notified on their dashboard. So, ensure to check your dashboard periodically by Logging In with your username/email and password.
- Any further information or questions will be provided via the DSSK Media Team
- An applicant is advised to submit just one application only. Any double application is an automatic disqualification.
- Remember, the total number of beneficiaries for this year are 1,000 students.
- After screenings of all the applicants must have been completed by the Bursary Committee, successful applicants will be communicated for necessary actions.
