Kogi Sanitation Board Seeks People’s Support

Mrs Florence Joseph, the acting Managing director of Sanitation and Waste Management Board (SWMB), has urged the people of the state to join hands with them to make the state clean.

Florence gave the advice in Lokoja on Tuesday in a phone chat.

The acting general manager said they need the people to help them by dumping their refuse into the waste bin provided by the government.

She said the government has provided all the necessary materials like the truck, waste plastic for public and private use and also truck grand to pick them always.

Joseph said these sanitation program has provide jobs opportunity for graduates of the state, she commends government for that and also beautification of the state.

“The Governor Idris Wada and his deputy Yomi Awoniyi brought up the sanitation and beautification of the state,” said Joseph.

She also thank the government for the second approval of more comprehensive recycling site meant for the conversion of waste after collection from different parts of Lokoja.

Joseph said that very soon they will have more trucks has promised by the government, to reach areas they can’t go now and make the work easier.
