The positive move of Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman led administration to alleviate and provide succour to Kogi citizens and residents in view of the biting economic hardship occasioned by the subsidy removal got a massive boost and positive impact in Kabba-Bunu LGA.
The Caretaker Chairman, Hon. Barr. Zaccheaus Dare Michael who was unequivocal on the need to ensure that the rice palliative get to the target audience set the ball rolling by spelling out the do’s and dont’s to the Rice Distribution/ Implementation Committee members.
In each of the 15 wards that make up Kabba-Bunu LGA, 5- man committee were set up to ease the operation deliver-6- bags-of- rice -to- your- polling -units with a stern warning that unlawful diversion shall be decisively dealt with if caught in the act.
Matching his words with actions, Hon. Dare has his eyes all over the wards and ensuring that the poor among the poorest were the beneficiaries of the State government largesse.
Immediately after the job has been carried out, he commended the members for being diligent, honest and shown uncommon patriotism in the APC’ s government resolve to allevating poverty and hunger in the state.
From Obele – Kabba to Ike – Bunu, the electorates who cuts across party leanings were made to see, feel and taste the first quarterly rice palliative.
In appreciation of the orderly and well organized manner of sharing the rice palliative, the accommodating people of Kabba-Bunu LGA prayed fervently for the Ododo led administration for painstakingly placing a square peg in a square hole in Kabba-Bunu LG.
