Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has commiserated with the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Aliyu Yusuf Umar and members of the 8th Assembly over the demise of member representing Dekina Biraidu state constituency, Hon Paul Enema.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Sunday, Prof Salisu condoled with the family of the late lawmaker, whom he described as “my dear brother and friend”.
“The news of his demise came as a rude shock to us, and we are deeply saddened by his passing. Our hearts go out to the Speaker and members of the 8th Assembly, his immediate family, friends and associates at this emotionally trying moment.
“Since death is inevitable and we are powerless against the will of God, the best we can do at this moment is to pray for the deceased and commiserate with his loved ones.
“It is our earnest prayer that the soul of Rt. Honourable Paul Enema rest in peace and that God grant the Speaker and members of Kogi State House of Assembly, his family, friends, and the entire people of Dekina Biraidu state constituency the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss (Amen!),” Prof. Salisu prayed.
Hon Enema, a Former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, died on Saturday after a protracted illness.
