The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salihu Sanusi Avidime, has graciously approved a N5,000 reduction in the hostel accommodation fees payable by students, following a unanimous decision by the Polytechnic’s Principal Officers. The approval further demonstrates the administration’s commitment to taking practical steps that respond to students’ needs and ease their financial burden.
A statement signed by John Amos Onimisi, the Acting Co-ordinator, Directorate of Public Relations and Protocols, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, said under the new arrangement, the hostel fee previously fixed at N30,000 has been reduced to N25,000, while that of N25,000 fee has been reduced to N20,000. The revised rates are now applicable to students, with the reduction providing additional financial relief in accessing hostel accommodation.
Meanwhile, the School Fees Payment and Hostel Fees Payment services are now available on the students’ portal, enabling students to access the respective services and complete their payments online. Students are advised to log in to the Polytechnic’s official portal and make use of the available payment services.
The relief reaffirms Professor Avidime’s administration’s sustained commitment to students’ welfare, stressing that decisions under his leadership would continue to be guided by the best interests of students. He pledged that the Management would continue to pursue responsible initiatives that enhance students’ welfare, academic experience and overall wellbeing within the Polytechnic.
