Kogi State is standing at the edge of a historic political realignment — and this time, the catalysts are not career politicians, but young ideological warriors armed with consciousness, clarity, and courage.
For decades, the political establishment built a fortress of godfatherism, prebendalism, elite capture, and systemic political exclusion.
But today, that fortress is shaking. A new political vanguard has emerged — the youths.
I, Edison Atumeyi Edime, a Young Political Activist and Youths Advocate, declare with revolutionary conviction: The days of passive citizenship are over. The era of political docility has expired.
Kogi youths are no longer bargaining chips in the hands of power blocs. We are becoming political stakeholders, agenda setters, and policy influencers. We are shifting from the margins to the center of political discourse.
This movement is not a protest — It is a political re-engineering, a structural reset, a democratic realignment, powered by the collective will of a generation that refuses to inherit failure.
We are constructing a new governance architecture built on: Transparency over tyranny. Public interest over patronage networks. Meritocracy over mediocrity. People-driven leadership over power intoxication
The old political order is uncomfortable — and they should be. Because a politically literate youth can no longer be manipulated. A united youth constituency can no longer be ignored. A conscious youth movement can no longer be suppressed.
This is the Kogi Youth Democratic Renaissance — a rising force that challenges corruption, confronts incompetence, and dismantles oppressive political narratives.
We are not waiting for the future. We are seizing it.
This is not evolution. This is a revolution of political ideology, civic courage, and generational power.
And we are just getting started.
