Kogi NMA Hails Members, Others for A Laudable Conference

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Kogi chapter, has commended its members and other stakeholders in the state for their commitment to the success of its 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Scientific Conference.
The Chairman of the association, Dr Godwin Tijani, gave the commendation in a statement issued after the church thanksgiving for completion of the week-long events in Lokoja on Sunday.
“I want to congratulate all NMA Kogi State members for the successful 2017 AGM and Scientific conference. We appreciate all members for the orderliness we displayed in the course of the events.
“We commend members who participated in the football match despite the short notice; We thank God for the safety of all members throughout the events.
“Special thanks to all our partners too numerous to mention for the role they played towards the success of the this year AGM.
“We apologize for any where we had failed to meet your expectations; next time we will do better. We pledge to take NMA Kogi State to a greater height to the pride of all members.
“We need more of your support, commitment and dedication; pray for us,” Tijani said.
Tijani specifically hailed the Kogi State Government, LOC and SOC members, past chairmen of the association, Chief Medical Directors and members of (Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Federal Medical Centre, Hospital Management Board) and Director of Medical Services, Federal University Lokoja, for their support.
The chairman also appreciated the media (News Agency of Nigeria NAN, Kogireports, Grace FM, Prime FM, Confluence Radio and NTA Lokoja, other media organizations) for their coverage and security agencies for ensuring adequate security for the event.
Others were the academic committee members, medical elders, chairman and other affiliated heads, the Ohimege Of Koton Karfe, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isakoto, Chairman House committee on Health Matters, Dr Friday Alih.

The week-long events witnessed a large turnouts with the theme of the conference was: “Economic Recession and The Rise of Depression”, delivered by a Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Adeyemi Egbeola of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Lokoja.
