Community leaders have called on government at all levels to carry them along in the execution of community projects.
They made the call at a town hall meeting organised by The Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) in Lokoja.
The community leaders while lamenting on the rate of vandalism of community projects stressed that their involvement would enable them take ownership of the community projects.
They also called on the Kogi state government to put more efforts in the area of water supply and sanitation in the state.
Earlier, the community leader representing Adankolo area of Lokoja Chief Alhassan Abu called on youth leaders to assist traditional ruler in monitoring community projects.
Also speaking, the programme manager of JDPC, Mr Eneojo Simon said the organization was aimed at creating awareness and change on sanitary and hygiene practice in the country.
