Member representing Lokoja 1 in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ebaiya Shehu Tijani has empowered 500 students with free 2025 Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB) registration.
Hon. Tijani reiterates his resolve to impact positivity to his constituency through impactful leadership and representation that will attract development to his people down to the grassroots.
Speaking to Journalists on Saturday, the Coordinator, Team BEST Free JAMB registration exercise, Salihu Abubakar Abdullahi said “the people elected Hon. Tijani and this is one of the way he could tell the people thank you. It is evidently clear that many people have knowledge, understanding, but the means to go about it is always a problem.
“So, we felt that it is important we ameliorate the hardship of many families by reducing the burdens or parents. All the people that are visible here have been captured. We are determined to do something bigger as we move on.
“Hon. Tijani has also promised that after this, 10 best candidate each both male and female who beat their school cut off mark will be rewarded awesomely to support their education when they are admitted”.
Abdullahi, who is also the Director General, Campaign Council to the serving Kogi State lawmaker, averred that since Hon. Tijani was elected to serve his people, he has continued to initiate new concept to change the lives of his constituents.
He, however, admonished well to do individuals to emulate this laudable initiative of the serving lawmaker by giving back to the society “To those that are wealthy , they should always remember the less privilege. We all know what the role of a Lawmaker which is making laws for the good governance of the State.
“Hon. Tijani is going out of his way to put smiles on the People. The students on their part should put in their best and make sure they come out in flying colours in their academic pursuit. They should endeavor to make their families, Kogi State and Nigeria at large proud”.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to Journalists described Hon. Tijani, as a selfless leader who has continued to serve his people meritoriously.
They admonished Government and stakeholders in the State to invest more in the educational sector in a bid to address some challenges confronting the nation today.
Hawad Muhammed, Okorie Nkeshi, Abdulsamad Suleiman, Hanifa Bala, and Khalid Abubakar Yahaya who are all beneficiaries of this laudable gesture said “alot of Children has great talent and knowledge, but unfortunately, there is no sponsorship. Being here with this opportunity is highly appreciated. We are urging other individuals to emulate this laudable idea.
Beneficiaries were also mentored on how to make use of computer, applications containing past examination questions, to enable them pass JAMB and other external examination such as West African Examination Council, (WAEC), National Examination Council, (NECO) and NABTEB.
