Kogi Judiciary to Set Up Sporting Unit – Ajanah

The Kogi State Judiciary is set to establish a vibrant sporting unit in the judiciary to prepare their staff for participating in the CJN Games and other similar sporting events.

TheĀ  Chief Judge of Kogi state, Justice Nasiru Ajanah stated this at the presentation of medals and unveiling of the judiciary roadmap to a better participation at subsequent games.

Kogi state won a total of 23 medals consisting of 7 gold, 7 silver and 9 bronze for the first time placing third on the overall medal table.

The chief Judge resolved that the state will continue to make their participation in the annual event as constant as possible.

“There is no doubting the fact that sports have always played a very significant role in human relations and all other endeavor”.

“To us in the judiciary of Kogi state taking gains from hosting the 22nd edition of the CJN Games has become imperative in view of its importance in shaping the minds and physical fit of the judiciary staff”, said Ajanah.

Ajanah acknowledge the support of the state government whose contributions ensured that the games were successful hosted by the judiciary adding Ta it hoped the benefits of hosting the games would rob on the socio-economic development of the state through the positive engagement of youths.

Earlier, the chairman local organizing committee (LOC) CJN Games, Bamidele Aina said recommendations for the state Judiciary to set up a sports unit or department is in the pipeline for more strategic manner.

Bamidele commended Justice Nasiru Ajanah for supporting the game of basketball in Nigeria appealing to the CJ to use his good offices to ensure that the state Judiciary continues to flourish sports wise.

The proposed venue for the 2017 Chief Justice Games is to be held in Calabar.
