Kogi Journalists Hail Bello’s Infrastructural Development Drive, Makes Case for Zango-Daji Road

Ongoing infrastructural development projects across Lokoja metropolis have been commended by journalists in Kogi state.

The journalists gave the commendation during the 2022 maiden congress of Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) held in Lokoja on Saturday.

They described ongoing construction of Ganaja flyover bridge and the Lokoja Civic Centre as legacy projects of the Governor Yahaya Bello-led administration that will benefit residents.

They appealed to Governor Bello to take urgent steps to address the bad state of Zango-Daji road, expressing fears that residents in the area might be cut off from Lokoja metropolis if left unattended to.

They urged the state government to do all within its reach to revive the state owned Radio Station (FM 94.1) which has gone off air for about 5 months, with a passionate appeal that government’s approval for the station be expeditiously followed with action.

Members of Nigeria Union of Journalists passed vote of confidence on the union Chairman, Alhaji Adeiza Momohjimoh for transparent leadership.

In his address, the State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Adeiza Momohjimoh, expressed appreciation to Governor Bello for providing members the conducive atmosphere for journalists to operate.
