Kogi International Carnival: Governor Ododo Calls for Investment in Culture, Arts

Governor Usman Ododo has urged Influential individuals from Kogi state and abroad to invest in the cultural and tourism potentials and other sectors in the state.

The Governor made this known at the grand dinner party hosted by the Kogi International Carnival Team at the Government House Glass Hall, Lokoja, Kogi State.

He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in driving positive change and promoting development in the state.

Also speaking at the event Mrs. Barbara E. Jitoboh, Founder of the Barbara Eleojo Jitoboh Foundation and convener, ‘One Kogi Project’, congratulated the Kogi International Carnival Team on a successful event.

She commended the Special Adviser to the President on Art and Culture, Ayo Adeagho, for his continuous support in promoting arts and culture.

According to Mrs. Jitoboh, the carnival aims to foster unity, showcase the state’s potential, promote tourism, and attract investors.

Mrs. Jitoboh highlighted the significance of arts and culture in the society, stating that they not only add value to the community but also serve as a way of life.

She praised the organizers for their hard work and promised to support future editions of the carnival.

The event was attended by notable stakeholders, dignitaries, and guests, including Timaya and Nike Davies-Okundaye of the Nike Arts Gallery.

Mrs. Jitoboh extended an invitation to visitors to experience the beauty, talents, and investment potential of Kogi State through the ONE KOGI PROJECT, saying, “We warmly invite everyone to join us for this extraordinary project.”
