Kogi International Carnival: Engr Muritala Audu Praises Gov Ododo’s Commitment to Promoting Cultural Unity

The just concluded Kogi International Cultural Carnival has received high praise from Engr Muritala Salau Audu.

Engr Audu commended Governor Usman Ododo and the initiators of the event for their efforts in promoting cultural values and unity in diversity in the state.

Speaking at the grand finale of the carnival, Engr Muritala Salau Audu expressed his delight at the successful showcasing of the rich cultural heritage of Kogi State. He noted that the event served as a platform for people from different cultural backgrounds to come together and celebrate their shared heritage.

“Despite the cultural divides in Kogi State, everyone came under one umbrella to celebrate our rich culture. This event has been a great opportunity to promote unity and understanding among the people of the state,” Engr Muritala Salau Audu said.

He also acknowledged the efforts of the various key actors who contributed to the success of the carnival, including Hon. Acharu Okpanachi (Commissioner for Culture and Tourism), Hon. Juwon Olorunipa (Jumabee) SA Arts and Culture, Hon. Philip Orebiyi, GM Kogi Hotels and Tourism Board, Hon. Oyiza Omade, DG Kossipa, Rotimi Churchy, Director of Fashion and Calisthenics, and Hon. Daud Suleiman (Hi-Speed), CEO of Hi-Speed Music, among others.

Engr Muritala Salau Audu praised Governor Usman Ododo for his support and encouragement towards the initiative, stating that his endorsement was crucial in ensuring the success of the cultural carnival.

“Governor Usman Ododo’s support for the Kogi International Cultural Carnival has been instrumental in its actualization. His Excellency’s commitment to promoting our cultural heritage is commendable, and I believe that with his continued support, future editions of the event will only get better and more impactful,” Engr Muritala Salau Audu remarked.

The cultural carnival featured a vibrant display of traditional dances, music performances, art exhibitions, fashion shows, and culinary delights from different ethnic groups in Kogi State. The event attracted a large turnout of spectators and participants, both from within the state and beyond.

As the curtains closed on the Kogi International Cultural Carnival, Engr Muritala Salau Audu expressed his optimism for the future, stating that the standards set by this year’s event would serve as a guide towards creating even more memorable and culturally enriching experiences in the years to come.
