  • Calls on staff to make use of training to enhance capacities

Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission has marked its second year anniversary with a call on staff members to make use of the organised training to enhance their capacities.

Chairman, Kogi State Assembly Service Commission, Alh Andas Malik who made the call while declaring open the training organised to mark the anniversary, noted that workers in the Commission and state assembly are now administratively under the custody of the Commission.

Andas stressed that the series of trainings, which have resources persons within the Commission, are meant to broaden the experience, knowledge and enhance workers capacity for the development of the state.

Alh Malik also noted that despite paucity of funds, the Commission has lofty programmes that will better the lots of staff members, adding that apart from what has been done to ease transportation problem for the workers, arrangements are on to do more for workers.

Clerk, Kogi State House of Assembly, Alh Ibrahim Isa Amoka and Permanent member, Hon Arome Adoji, who doubled as Chairman of the event, who spoke differently stressed the importance of such trainings, noting that no knowledge is lost.

While urging the staff to be focused, they reiterated that the training would enhance their capacity.

The first resource person who is the Director of Administration and Finance of the state assembly, Mr Martins Enimola delivered a detailed lecture on ethics and conducts in Civil Service.

The second training taken by the Director, Administration and Finance, Mr Abdul Ben was on Office and Registry Procedures.
