De Greater Height Front (De GHF) has conferred on an award of credence on the Chairman of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, Alhaji Andas Abdulmalik in recognition of his legislative prowess.
The prestigious award of credence which was conferred on him at the Commission’ s office in Lokoja witnessed members of the Club and top management and staff of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission.
Speaking while receiving the award, Andas thanked the association for according him and the Clerk of the Assembly such honour and for deeming it fit to recognise their immense contributions to the growth and development of the Club.
Alhaji Andas specially dedicated the Award to the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello who gave him the opportunity to serve as the Chairman of the Assembly Service Commission.
He stated that he wil ever remain grateful to Governor Bello for the opportunity given to three members of De Greater Height Front to serve the state public service in various capacity.
According to him,the members include Director General of Radio Kogi, Chairman of Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission and the Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly who are not in any way sponsored by any god- father rather based on merits in the discharge of their duties.
Alhaji Andas pointed out that a good observation of note with Alhaji Yahaya Bello led administration is a government that has raised the standard of the oppressed and the neglected by his various appointments of these classes of people into leadership positions in the State.
He added that the victory of the Governor Bello at the just concluded governorship election in the state did not come to him as a surprise because of the “love, concern and passion he has for the downtrodden and neglected areas of the state which God in His infinite mercy used to single him out as the most qualified and his eventual victory at the polls.”
Alhaji Andas commended the Deputy Governor, Chief Edward Onoja for his loyalty and support for the success of the administration and prayed God to protect and guide them and wished them a more successful second term in office.
The Clerk of Kogi State House of Assembly, Alhaji Amoka Ibrahim, who was equally conferred with award of credence, thanked the State Governor for approving his appointment, describing it as challenge for him to be more committed in his selfless service to the state and humanity.
Earlier, the President of the De Greater Height Front, Chief Henry Olufemi Onimisi-Smith thanked God for the elevation of three of their members to enviable positions in the state public service.
He prayed God to make their tenure in office to be successful and charged them to be shining examples worthy of emulations pointing out their appointment is a cause of joy to the club and prayed God for more appointments to other members.
De GHF is made up of eleven members, three of their members in the last two years have been appointed to enviable positions in the state public service. The first being the appointments of Oyila Ojo Oxoveha and Alhaji Andas Abdulmalik as the Director General Kogi Radio and Chairman Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission. The latest is the appointment of Alhaji Amoka Ibrahim as the Clerk Kogi State House of Assembly.
