Member-elect to represent Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has declared that the incumbent governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has no opposition in the November 2nd forthcoming election in the state.
Halims, while declaring this, noted that “we have taken a position long time ago in due cognizance of the outstanding commitment of His Excellency to the growth and development of Kogi State in the tenure under review.”
“As far as I am concerned, the APC members in Kogi state has no choice than to elect him with a resounding victory during the primary election because the party has under the leadership of His Excellency waxed so strong that it produced a one hundred percent state assembly, seventy five percent of the state’s house of representatives members and two out of the three senators from the state.”
Halims appealed to the state’s civil servants to keep faith and have patience with the state government assuring that efforts are in top gears to clear her six months arrears.
On the issue of whether the governor is planing to defect from the party, Hon. Halims berated those spreading such rumour, describing it as a hatchet job planned and executed by political scavengers who have resulted to propaganda, consequent upon the fact that such individuals have lost contact with the realities of the states political happenings.

Furthermore, the elected Rep advised Kogites and political watchers in general to always verify matters before drawing conclusions in order not to be unnecessarily heating up the polity.
