The Kogi State Forum of Education Secretaries has congratulated the Governor-Elect, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo and his Deputy, Elder Joel Salifu on their victory in last Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

In a statement endorsed by the Forum Chairman, Mallam Abdulmalik Ndagi Kazim, the Secretary, Hon Mike Omale and made available to journalists in Lokoja by the Forum Director, Media and Strategy, Hon Da’Jude Ogunjobi who doubles as Education Secretary, Yagba West LGA, on Monday, the forum described the victory of Ododo as “the reward for humility, hardwork and track record” and commended the people of Kogi for standing by the Governor-Elect when it mattered most.

The forum stated that the electorate across the Local Government Areas of the State spoke loudly and very clearly in their affirmation of their choice of Ododo as Governor of the “Confluence State.”

The forum noted that the election of Ododo/Joel signposted the reality of APC’s determination to entrench prosperity in the industrial State, saying “better days await Kogites.”

“Let us congratulate our boss and leader, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo on his victory in the November 11 Governorship election in Kogi State.

“Sir, it is heart-warming to see you elected as Governor of our dear state against all odds and we are grateful to the electorate in Kogi for shunning entreaties of the opposition, who were ostensibly determined to subvert the wishes of the people.

“Let us also thank the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for improving on the logistics and conduct of the election”.

The ES Forum congratulated the APC; the National and State Campaign Councils for Kogi Governorship Election; the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello; Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijani, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and her Committee members for their efforts which culminated in the victory.

“Sir, we join you and other Kogites in praying that God grant you wisdom, knowledge and the needed resources to keep your campaign promises of making Kogi State the Confluence of development,” Jude Ogunjobi added in the statement.
