Ahead of the November 16 governorship election, the Administrator of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has enjoined youths of Kogi Central to come out and utilize their numerical strength at the poll.
The Council Administrator made the call at Ogaminana in Adavi Local Government Area at a youth rally organised by Kogi Central Campaign Council on Friday.
The Administrator, who arrived the venue with large supporters, charged the youths to go all out and humbly convince any aggrieved fellow youths and ensure together they vote massively for Governor Yahaya Bello.
“It is our duty to ensure every vote cast for Gov. Bello is protected and secured, therefore, I assure you all that we will not only protect your votes, we shall also ensure every life and property in Kogi state are protected before, during and after the election,” he said.
Hon. Abdulrazaq reiterated his commitment and that of the state government to ensuring youths continue to have their rightful place in governance, get more employments and empowerment.
He added that the government is banking on the high numerical strengths of able, agile, eligible and loyal youths for a peaceful and successful election.
While thanking the organisers of the rally, the grassroot political tactician commended the resilience, doggedness and loyalty of the people he termed as the future leaders of Kogi State.
