The founder and leader of Kogi Liberation Movement (KLM), Mr Salihu Adam Jiddah has thrown his weight behind the aspiration of PDP governorship candidate, Engr Musa Wada.
In a statement issued to Kogi Reports in the early hours of Thursday, Salihu congratulated on his emergence at the just concluded PDP governorship primaries in Lokoja.
Salihu, a lecturer at Federal University of Kashere, Gombe state, called on Kogi electorate to support and vote for Wada to win the November 16 election.
“I congratulate sincerely, the winner of the just concluded PDP primaries Engr Musa Wada Ph.D on his well deserved victory in a very transparent primaries.
“The PDP primaries which was followed keenly by many could only be compared to the shadow election that brought President Buhari to victory in Lagos.
“I wish to officially declare my support for Engr. Musa Wada, aka “Flash”, the candidate of PDP in the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi state. This is a decision that is well and carefully thought of.
“As a loyal supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, I never knew a day would come that I will stand in a different party from his. My consolation however is that I remain committed to his ideology of good governance which APC, through the present Governor of Kogi state, has failed to provide.
“In politics, the best decision to make is to stand by the people. Today, I have decided with my family to stand for that.
“To those who think supporting APC would have been a better choice, I wish to let them know that my brother, Sheik Ibrahim of APGA is also in the race. But I have decided to support the next Governor of Kogi state by the grace of God, Engr. Wada, believing that he represent, through posture and acceptability, the kind of governor the people of Kogi state need at this time.
“I therefore call on all Kogites to rally round him to bring an end to the dangerous trend that Gov Bello and his minority of followers has brought upon us.
“Today in Kogi state, the PDP has shown they will provide a better option and I have just no option but support such mission. As a people, leaders of Kogi state must henceforth see themselves as servant and not landlords as the present government has addressed itself all along,” he said.
