The media committee of the State Campaign Council for Bello/Onoja 2019 Governorship election has described the huge turn out of party supporters and electorate during the APC ward rallies in Kogi Central as a sign of acceptance and appreciation to the new direction government of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
A member of the media committee, Hon. Abdulmumin Abubakar stated this in Okene while monitoring the campaign rallies which was held simultaneously across the 57 wards of Kogi Central.
He noted that the people have once again demonstrated their love and unflinching support for Gov. Yahaya Bello.
“The Governor enjoys unprecedented grassroot support. He command the respect and loyalty of men and women at the grassroot because in the last four years, he has initiated policies that made life meaningful to the people at the rural areas.
“The Campaign rallies were unique, seamless and peaceful which shows the people have resolved to entrust their mandate to the present administration for the next four years. As early as 10am in the morning, political leaders, elected members of the State and National Assembly, Commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Administrators, top government functionaries, party executives, GYB support groups, women and youth organizations and of course, elders of the party were at their respective wards to spread the message of re-election of Gov. Yahaya Bello, his achievements in office and his consolidation agenda for the next four years.
“In Okene, the duo of Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku and the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr. Abubakar Ohere thanked the Governor on behalf of the electorates for bringing peace to the ones volatile and violence prone Kogi Central. They expressed joy that, the Governor has united the people of Ebiraland as one and in divisible entity and declared that the people will reciprocate the gesture by coming out with their PVC to vote massively for Gov. Yahaya Bello come November 16, 2019.
“The message was the same in Adavi as Sen. Yakubu Oseni, Alh. Kabiru Aliyu and Engr. Abdulmumuni Sadiq expressed confidence that in view of the road constructions, water provision and youth empowerment currently enjoyed by the people of Adavi Local Government, they are left with no option than to ensure every votes are counted for Gov. Yahaya Bello.
“In Okehi Local Government, the Commissioner for Water Resources, Barr. Deedat Salami, the Local Government Administrator, Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare and the Director General of Information and Grassroot Orientation, Alh. Abdulmalik Abdulkareem, at their various wards rallies, received some decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Social Democratic Party (SDP). They thanked the people for coming out to celebrate their son who have change the face of Kogi State and transform it to an enviable height,” he said.
