Kogi state government has concluded plans to establish a new international market in Lokoja, the state capital.
This followed the completion of a bidding process for the award of the contract organized by the state ministry of commerce and industry in Lokoja.
The new market to be located along Zone 8-Crusher area is to be built with ultra modern facilities such as shopping malls, banks, abattoir, multiple car parks, clinic, police post, warehouses, stalls and open spaces for convenient shopping and leisure.
A statement the Ministry of Commerce and Industry noted that new Lokoja International Market is aimed at putting Kogi State on the global map by addressing the current needs of businesses and also position Kogi State as a major player in the regional and global trade landscape.
