Arrangements by the Kogi State Government to begin the repair of roads in the State Capital have been concluded.
Capt Idris Wada, the State Governor stated this at a visit by the Executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
Represented by his Deputy, Arc. Yomi Awoniyi, described the State as having abundant talents in the Journalism profession, tasked the Union to assist the State Government in its transformation agenda.
Capt Idris Wada explained that his administration is poised to doing things differently, little wonder, professionals and practitioners who are indigenes and working in the State are been appointed as media aides by the State Government.
The Governor disclosed that the present administration in Kogi State is passionate about repositioning the information sector in the State, called on the people to exercise patience with the present administration, added that the State is on the threshold of transformation.
In his speech, Mallam Ali Atabor, State Chairman of the Kogi State NUJ said the union is proud to be associated with the present administration in its development strides,commended the government’s initiatives at appointing media aides of the Government from the State Council.
