Kogi Govt Partners NABTEB for Enhanced Technical Education

The Kogi State Government has expressed its commitment to collaborating with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) to improve the standard of technical vocational education in the state.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo stated this on Tuesday during a meeting with the state coordinator of NABTEB and other officials of the Board at his official residence in Lokoja.

In a ]statement by the Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor Mr Unubi Emmanuel, the Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Comrade Joel Salifu, emphasized the importance of education as the beacon of society, highlighting the crucial role of technical vocational education in fostering self-reliance among individuals in the state and the nation as a whole.

Governor Ododo stressed the importance of embracing contemporary trends in technical vocational education, affirming that any society resistant to such advancements would inevitably face dire consequences. He pledged to engage with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the realization of NABTEB’s goals and objectives in Kogi State.

Furthermore, Governor Ododo lauded the ongoing collaboration with the federal government to leverage national policies on technical vocational training education, affirming the state’s dedication to advancing in this field for the betterment of its people.

In an earlier address, the state coordinator of NABTEB, Mrs. Ajibili, expressed gratitude to the state government for consistently supporting the May and June NTC-NBA Examination Candidates from the State Government Technical College over the past two years. She lauded Governor Ododo’s leadership as truly inspiring.

Mrs. Ajibili also appealed for the establishment of additional technical schools in the state, while offering prayers for Governor Ododo and his Deputy, wishing them wisdom and good health as they steer the state towards greater development for all.
