One of the largest producers, processors and exporters of cotton, Arewa Cotton Company, is scheduled to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Kogi State government today in Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, Managing Director of the Company, Mr Anibe Achimugu said in Abuja yesterday.
Mr Achimugu said his company has concluded arrangements to commence mass production and processing of cotton in Kogi and some other states in the North-central and South-west zones and the establishment of cotton ginneries across the zones.
Achimugu, who said the project when operational will provide job opportunity to several youths from the state, said Kogi State governor, Captain Idris Wada, is expected to sign the MoU on behalf of the state government.
