Kogi based youth group, Muri Ambassadors Network (MAN), has expressed confidence in the Murtala Yakubu Ajaka/Sam Abenemi governorship ticket of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to make life better for citizens of the state.
The coordinator of the youth group, Mustapha Hassan Obaje, made this known during a solidarity visit to the SDP governorship candidate in Abuja on Friday.
Obaje, who led seven other executive members on the solidarity visit, said the group is committed to working assiduously towards the success of Muri/Sam ticket of the SDP in the forthcoming November governorship elections in Kogi state.
According to him, both Muritala Yakubu Ajaka and Sam Abenemi have proven, through their track records, to be compassionate, youth friendly, and problem solvers
He called on all young men and women to rally behind the duo to get the Kogi State on the path of growth being experienced in other states across the nation.
Other speakers pledged the group’s preparedness to commit themselves to the ideals of campaigning, canvassing, and voting without sentiments for the emancipation of Kogi.
Responding, Murtala Ajaka commended the group for the wise decision of supporting a tested ticket. He called on them to keep up the good work for the emancipation of Kogi people from the shackles of poverty.
He assured the people of Kogi State that he would provide schemes for women and support youth to the full realisation of their potentials when elected.
“When you empower the women you empower the a nation. When you empower the youths, you secure your future,” he said.
