Kogi Gov’ship: Veteran Ebira Entertainers Drum Support for Ododo

Veteran theatre artists in the entertainment industry of Ebira extraction have appealed to the people of the state to vote en mass for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the November 11th gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo.

The entertainer under aegis of “Movie Stars for OAU” said having interacted with the candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, they are convinced that he has the best interest of the state at hear, hence their decision to massively canvas votes for him.

The body which comprises the likes of Ajoze, Echunavo Umachaku, Ohida, Onwanchi, Anavami, Akaramuda and Ogavuda from the three pioneer groups in Ebira Land and Hon Mario Calabash, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Entertainment said they have no doubt about the ability of Alhaji Ododo to bring massive development to the entire state when elected.

They used the opportunity to also embark on an advocacy tour to well-meaning Ebira sons and daughters across the federation in a bid to garner support for the candidate.

At the commencement of their visitations, they were guests at the palaces of the Ohi of Okene, HRH Alhaji Isah Mamman Okatahi and the Ohi of Okengwe from who they sought royal blessings and succeeded.

The Royal Fathers prayed for protection for them and success for the APC in the November election.

Reacting to the development, the governorship flag bearer, who endorsed the team for the noble project, adopted it as part of his campaign train, promising to fully support the group.

He said that he was particularly glad to see such level of unity amongst the entertainers which he said has always been a long-time dream for all Ebira Land.

He reiterated the major focus of the GYB regime as always preaching for one, strong, and united Kogi State, a call that resonates with him.

In the same vein, the group visited other interest groups and personalities across the state where they appealed for the need to support, canvass and vote massively for the APC in November.
