Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the November 11 Kogi governorship election, Senator Dino Melaye, has promised to prioritize workers welfare and deliver good governance to the door-step of every Kogite.
Melaye made this known when he took his campaign to Bassa Local Government Area in Kogi East senatorial district on Tuesday.
While addressing the people of Bassa, after paying homage to the Aguma of Bassa kingdom, Melaye assured Kogites that their votes will be protected and most importantly, that the people will be protected from any form of intimidation and violence from Yahaya Bello and his thugs.
He donated the sum of ten million Naira towards the community intervention in Bassa and made an additional donation to the Christian and Muslim communities in the Local Government Area.
The former senator who represented the people of Kogi West in the 8th Assembly invited the people of Bassa to come out in their numbers to vote for the PDP’s Dino/Deen ticket to usher in a new beginning for the State.
Senator Melaye said when voted into office, he will commit to ensuring that Bassa Local Government feels the impact of good governance.
