Kogi Gov’ship: OSSC Flags Off Grassroot Sensitisation for Ododo

Ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Kogi state, the Ododo School to School Campaign (OSSC) organisation has officially flagged off its grassroot sensitisation.

The campaign group is rooting for the emergence of Alhaji Usman Ododo, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), as next governor of Kogi state.

Speaking at the flag-off event in Okene on Thursday, the Chief Host and Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Health Matters, Dr. Abu Jibril Okikiri, applauded the OSSC team and charged the audience to support Ododo/Joel mandate.

He said, “Ododo/Joel Mandate is a divine arrangement that deserves the sacrifices and unalloyed supports of Kogites in view of their track records and tremendous services rendered to the state”.

He stated that the group will also facilitate the commencement of the strategic door-to-door and Ward-to-Ward sensitisation for the Ododo Ahmed Usman and Joel Oyibo Salifu’s ticket in the November 11 governorship election.

The event was attended by dignitaries from different work of life to grace the occasion and make the necessary inputs to sensitise the good people of Kogi Central why they must mobilise in mass to deliver Ododo and Joel Mandate.

Alsoin attendance, a revered Royal Father, the Ohi of Okene, HRH Okatahi Isah Manman took the audience down the memory lane of Ododo’s numerous interventions in education, health and infrastructural development while he was the Auditor General for Local Government in the state.

“Ododo is a refined and inspirational leader who has the leadership skill sets to consolidate on the achievement of his Boss, governor Yahaya Bello if given the support in the forthcoming governorship election in the state,” the monarch said.

During the paper presentation session on the theme, Unity is Our Strength by the speakers, the President of Dynamic Ebira Friends, Dr. Tijani Ahmed Ajayi delivered a thoughtful and exciting speech exploring unity as a critical tool and catalyst for accelerated development.

In his discuss, Dr. Ajayi pledged support to assist the group in the execution of activities and ensure it translates to resounding victory of Ododo/Joel Mandate.

While delivering her paper, the State Chairperson of STETSCOM, Mrs. Cecilia Cook commended Governor Yahaya Bello over the emergence of Ododo/Joel ticket as a superb combination with the capacity to provide good governance in meeting the yearnings of the people.

She urged the audience to ferociously spread the good messages of Ododo to their localities and ensure indomitable supports during the next governorship election.

In his lecture, Dr. Haruna Ohida specifically pointed out that a fragmented house can not stand. He tutored the reason why Central region of the state must firstly reconcile every aggrieved stakeholders to form a united front with the other regions and ensure overwhelming victory for the Ododo/Joel Mandate.

He hailed the OSSC for bringing the critical stakeholders together for the effective sensitisation and adequate knowledge of Ododo Ahmed Usman ahead of November governorship election in the state.

Responding, the Commissioner for Education, represented by the Zonal Evaluator for Education in Kogi Central, Hon. Sadiq Yakubu commended the governor on the facelift given to the State Ministry of Education in terms of policy reforms, implementation and performance, stating that the choice of Ododo and his running mate, Comrade Joel Oyibo Salifu is a natural gift to the people of the state where teachers’ welfare will surely be in the front burner in the next dispensation.

In his address, the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Danga Abdulmumin applauded the critical stakeholders in the occasion urging them to spread the message of goodwill of Ododo across the length and breadth of Kogi state. He said that Ododo’s selfless efforts with exemplary leadership are worthy of emulation.

The Convener, Ododo School to School Campaign organisation, Comrade Umar Adabara Abduljalil in his vote of thanks appreciated the entire guests for their presences and charged them to sensitising neighbours about the “unique qualities of the incoming governor comes November 11 election by God’s grace.”
