- Set to Confer Traditional Title on PDP Candidate for Bravery
The Paramount Ruler of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, has showered encomiums on the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 11, 2023 Kogi State Governorship election, Senator Dino Melaye, and prayed for his success at the polls.
The Royal Father spoke when he played host to the PDP Governorship candidate who visited him in his palace in Okene, Kogi State, on Wednesday.
The Ohinoyi, who praised the legislative vibrancy of Senator Dino as a member of Federal House of Representatives and two-term Senator, said his credibility, astuteness and performance in the Chambers were second to none.
He described Senator Dino as a worthy son whom he knew from childhood disclosing that he and the Council of Chiefs had already concluded plans to confer a traditional title on him.
“The Council of Chiefs has already concluded plans to confer a traditional title on you for your steadfastness, bravery, astuteness and efforts towards ensuring good governance in our country and Kogi State in particular,” he said.
Speaking, the PDP governorship candidate, who said he was at the palace to show his respect to the revered traditional ruler, thanked the Royal Father for his blessings.
Senator Dino stressed that he was in the governorship race to restore sanity and purpose to governance in Kogi State as well as actualize his vision of uniting, stabilizing and repositioning the state for greater productivity in the overall interest of the people.
Melaye assured that he will run an all-inclusive administration that will effectively harness the resources of the State in such a manner that will guarantee economic renewal, massive infrastructural development, quality employment and empowerment of the Kogi citizens.
Senator Dino urges all Kogites to remain steadfast in the determination to rescue the state from the excruciating stranglehold of the APC and give the people a new lease of life.
