The Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Primary Healthcare Services, Alhassan Salisu Adakeke, has congratulated Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for a successful flag-off of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo governorship campaign rally in the state.
According to Hon. Adakeke, the massive crowd at the event was a testimony of the people’s appreciation of the leadership qualities of Governor Yahaya Bello whose glorious contribution to the governance of the state is evidently unparalleled.
“It should be acknowledged that Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello’s contribution to the health of the state has attracted the presence of the Federal Government and the National Secretariat of APC in view of the number and caliber of personalities that graced the event.
“The attendance of the vice president of the Federal republic of Nigeria, Sen. Kashim Shetima and his entourage was reassuring and a big boost to Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s governorship project in Kogi,” he said.
Hon. Alhassan Salisu Adakeke appreciated Governor Bello for providing free education at primary and secondary education level in the state.
He maintained that the free education policy of Governor Bello remains a significant landmark in education sector that will benefit the present and future generations of the state.
“This is a well thought out policy that relieve parents and guardians of the burden of school fees and general cost of education,” Adakeke added.
The National Chairman of APC Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the present administration has done well for the people of Kogi State hence the need for consolidation, continuity and sustainability.
“Kogi State needs a young man who will consolidate on the good work of Alhaji Yahaya Bello. Don’t make any mistake of voting for another candidate who will not deliver for his people. What is requested of Kogi people is to vote for someone who will unite Kogi and ensure that development keeps springing up at the grassroots,” Ganduje stated.
In his acceptance speech, the candidate of the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) said his agenda is to unite Kogites and bring meaningful development to the people.
The governorship candidate who stated that Kogi State belongs to APC, appealed to electorate should come out en-mass on election day and vote for him and his running mate, Joel Oyibo, for the needed development.
According to him, Kogi should not be allowed to be govern by selfish individuals, who are coming out to divide the state and hiding under ethnic agenda.
According to him, his campaign mantra will be on sustainability for human capital development, youths empowerment and improvement in basic infrastructure across Kogi state.
Ododo, however, appreciated his principal, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for giving the youths a sense of belonging, adding that Koji state will witness rapid development and security when the ruling party retain power in November.
While assuring that his administration will not disappoint the people of Kogi State when elected, the governorship candidate also vowed to deliver on the renewed hope of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
