Kogi Gov’ship: Ijumu PDP Reaffirms Support for Dino, Habiba

Ijumu Local Government executive of the People Democratic Party (PDP, )nd the Council of Ward Chairmen, have reaffirmed unshaken support for Senator Dino Melaye, the candidate of the party, in forth coming November Kogi gubernatorial election and his running mate, Hajia Habiba Mohammed Deen.

The declaration was made in a joint meeting, held at the party Secretariat in Iyara, Wednesday.

The meeting presided over by the party Local Government Chairman, Hon. Olabode Olorunmaiye, observed that the emergence of Senator Melaye as the flag bearer of party at a time like this is divine, and all hands must be on deck at ensuring that the party makes the best use of the golden opportunity.

According to the meeting, Melaye has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he has both capability and capacity to humble both the ruling party and its candidate come November.

The meeting called on all aggrieved party members to allow their interest for the party play itself to the fore, just as it urged those at the meeting to go back to their wards and work out reconciliation with the aggrieved party members in their various wards.

The party chairman, Hon. Olorunmaye, disclosed that a seven-man reconciliation committee, has been set up at the Local Government level, and that the committee will soon visit each ward, to cross the ‘t’s and dot the ‘i’s of reconciliation.

On the final note, the meeting commended the proactive approach of Senator Dino to the issue of reconciliation, urging him to continue in that spirit.
