The people of Enjema community in Ankpa Local Government Area have endorsed the candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the November governorship election in Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
They made their position known on Thursday when the Director General, Kogi State Special Task Force on Illegal smuggling of fire arms and other related crimes, Elder Friday Sani Makama, visited the community for on the spot assessment of security situation in the area, particularly as it affects alleged recent invasion of the community which led to the death of a young man.
The community resident, who where highly elated by the visit which came through the directive of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, clearly demonstrated the love the present administration has for the people of Enjema Community.
According to them, the present administration has performed well, hence the need to support the APC governorship candidate to continue the good work of Governor Yahaya Bello.
Addressing the crowd, Elder Makama described the Governor as a man who has shown uncommon love for Igala nation and deserves the support of Igala race.
The former lawmaker who described his visit as timely averred that Governor Yahaya Bello is a true Kogite who has respected all segment of the state, particularly the Igala people.
He charged the people to vote for the ruling All Progressive Congress in the next governorship election, adding that those fanning the embers of ethnics politics are enemies of the Igala race.
“The people are really happy with the present administration because the government has allowed them to tap what actually belong to them. That is why we are not surprised with the warm reception we are receiving now.
“I am appealing to all of you to always remain calm, vote APC and support continuity. Any individual telling you all to do ethnic politics does not mean well for our dear state. We should all support a candidate who will deliver true dividend of democracy. That candidate is Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo of APC,” he stated.
