Kogi Gov’ship Aspirant, Alhaji Okala  Congratulate Nigeria’s President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu

A frontline governorship aspirant on the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kogi state, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala, has congratulated Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his victory in the just concluded presidential election in the country.

Alhaji Okada, a former Auditor General in the state, disclosed this in a statement to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, saying that Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th presidential elections was well deserved.

The governorship aspirant said his undiluted testimony in Lagos state when he held sway as a governor remains a statement of “Tinubu’s capability and pragmatism; that he has what it takes to transform the most challenging situations in the country to better the lot of Nigerians”.

“With great delight, I write to celebrate your electoral victory in the last Saturday Presidential Election in the country, where you emerged as the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“Your victory is well-deserved; it’s one built on years of hard work, dedication, focus, doggedness and political sagacity which portrays you as a great democrat of our times. Your credential has been evident since the heyday of NADECO in this country.”

While Alhaji Okala said he is looking forward to the implementation of Tinubu’s robust visions for a new Nigeria as outlined in his manifesto during the campaign, he stressed that the agenda of president-elect as emphasised in his policy document, offers hope and assured future for the teeming Nigerians.

“As Nigerians turn their attention from electioneering, our country men will be counting on you to bring your Midas touch to bear and transform this country to an enviable height in all ramifications,” he said.

The guber aspirant commended the electorate in Kogi for turning out enmasse to vote for the candidates of the party in the last presidential and national assembly elections.

He, therefore, enjoined the electorate to keep faith with the party in the House of Assembly election next week in the state.
