Kogi Gov’ship: Abu Ibro Pledges to Save State From Poverty, Insecurity

A front line governorship aspirant in Kogi state on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim has said that he decided to run for the number one seat come November 16 2019, to rescue the state from abject poverty and high rate of insecurity as a result of the maladministration of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Abubakar Ibrahim who spoke to journalists at the PDP State Secretariat in Lokoja on Thursday shortly after making his intention known to the state and local government executives of the party, also promised to address the problem of lack of basic infrastructure in the state if given the mandate to rule the state.

The PDP aspirant told journalists that he would give priority to health, education and welfare of citizens if his ambition scales through and asked for the support of the party men and women in actualizing his rescue mission.

He lamented that Kogi state that was once a pride of all, is now an epitome of poverty, insecurity and lack of basic infrastructure

Abubakar Ibrahim hinted that his pedigree in the private sector, blended with an understanding of public and political economics, places him in a vintage to deliver purposeful leadership, says his joining the race is a personal conviction, geared towards making the state great again.

Abubakar while addressing a crowd of PDP supporters who trouped the party Secretariat to receive him, he promised to turn around the negative fortunes of the state when elected, saying that enough is enough of the untold hardship faced by the people under the present APC government.

The high point of his visit was the inauguration of Abubakar Ibrahim Campaign Office in the state along Ganaja junction urging the team to kick-start operation with immediate effect.
