A Senior Special Assistant Kogi State Governor, Hon. Prime Abubakar Ibikunle has bagged an award of humanitarian service in recognition of his selfless effort in bringing smiles on the faces of the downtrodden.
The award was conferred on Hon. Ibikunle by the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke Isegun District Ijumu DCC as part of activities marking the 10th Founders Day of the Church at Iyara.
Represented by the Vice Chairman of CAN (Youth Wing), Evangelist Maiyaki Abidemi, the Governor’s aide said the recognition means a lot to him, saying it is a clear indication that his boss, Governor Yahaya Bello has raised people in his over seven years in office.
Hon. Ibikunle, who is the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, thanked the Church for recognizing his modest contributions to the service of God and humanity, calling for sustained prayers for the government and people of Kogi State.
Earlier, Pastor E. O. Abere, Ijumu District Superintendent Oke- Isegun District Iyara, said the Governor’s aide had used his office to impart positively on the lives of the less privileged, hence the award.
Recall that the SSA executed a borehole and streetlight projects, payment of school fees, donation of his constituency allowance as well as job facilitation to his constituents.
