In recognition of his role as “a frontline mentor to the Nigerian youth, nationwide”, the Foundation for Civilian Peace in Nigeria (FCPN) has nominated Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state as a guest speaker at its official launch in Abuja on December 8, 2020.
According to a statement, on Tuesday, by the chairman and secretary, Cdre Manu D. Yagdad (rtd) and Samuel Umufiedo, respectively, Bello at the launch is expected to present a paper entitled: “Challenges of Leadership Among the Nigeria Youth: Consequences on National Peace.”
The group noted that Bello’s “presence as the guest speaker at the FCPN initiative “would greatly add value to our efforts at complementing the drive of the government towards a peaceful society.”
The statement noted that other guests expected at the event are former Adamawa state governor, Murtala Nyako, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha and the Ooni of Ife, HRM Adeyeye Ogunwusi, amongst others.
The group stated that its “goal is to create awareness on the importance of peaceful coexistence among various groups and act as voluntary advisory body to government on issues capable of sowing discords within the people and the communities through periodic advocacies and campaigns.”
