Kogi Governor, Speaker Celebrates Wada at 70

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has sent a goodwill message to his predecessor, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

In a message he personally signed, Bello noted that Wada’s humility inspires many.

“On behalf of my family, the government and good people of Kogi State, I heartily felicitate with my predecessor and father, Capt Idris Ichala Wada on the occasion his 70th birthday anniversary.

“It is no doubt a great milestone in the life of any mortal that is privileged to witness his or her 70th birthday anniversary in good health.

“I would like to say that your humble and humane leadership style and your brand of politics without bitterness, remain source of inspiration to many of us today.

“The history of Kogi State will be incomplete without a mention of your contributions to its developments and growth as governor of the Confluence State for four years.

“As you clock 70 years on earth today, I pray that the Almighty Allah will continue to keep you in sound health to continue to contribute to the development of our state and country at large,” Bello said.

Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Prince Mathew Kolawole, in his message, stated that “it is deserving to celebrate an icon, a distinguished personality that has shown strong character of selfless service to the State and humanity.”

Kolawole described Wada as an honest politician who does not believe in politics of bitterness and destruction, noting that his simplicity stands him out.

The Speaker added that Wada has carved a niche for himself with his monumental contributions to Kogi State, Nigeria and humanity.

“It is on this note that I, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole, on behalf of my family, Kabba/Bunu State Constituency, the entire members of the 7th assembly, management and staff of the Kogi State House of Assembly felicitate with and congratulate HE, Captain Idris Ichala Wada on his 70th birthday celebration.”

He prayed that God will grant him more years ahead in good health and prosperity.
