With less than two months to the end of his first tenure, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has dissolved his cabinet.
Bello disclosed this while briefing newsmen after the state executive council meeting which took place in Government House Lokoja on Wednesday night.
According to him, the dissolution takes immediate effect. He thanked them for serving in his cabinet saying he appreciate their efforts while in office.
The Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Dr. Folashade Ayoade Arike was not affected. The Director General Media and Publicity to the governor, Mr. Kingsly Fanwo is now Special Adviser on Information and Communication while the erstwhile Commissioner for Finance, Idris Asiru is now Special Adviser on Finance, Budget and Economic Planning.
Also, Bello retained the his Chief of Staff, Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, the state Accountant General, Alhaji Momoh Jibril, the State Auditor General, Mallam Yakubu Okala and the Chief Press Secretary to the governor Mallam Muhammed Onogu.
