A group, Friends of Dalhatu Sherif (FODS) yesterday called on the Kogi state governor-elect, Alhaji Yahaya Bello to carry everybody along in governing the state.
Secretary General of the group, Abdulkareem Sani, who addressed journalists in Lokoja, urged Bello to ensure that the youth were empowered in order to solve the challenge of restiveness in the state.
“The youth are leaders of tomorrow and there is every need to invest in them, while the elders should be entrusted with fatherly roles,” Sani said.
The group urged Bello to work towards achieving harmony amongst the varied interests in the state to ensure rapid development.
In the same vein, the group also endorsed the candidature of Dalhatu Sherif for the Kogi Central Senatorial re-run election.
While urging youth in the Central district to work for success of the senatorial candidate, the group charged them to remain peaceful and support the governor-elect to enable him succeed.
