…Receives award for upliftment of vulnerable groups.

The Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has called for the promotion of local content in the production, delivery, and consumption of goods and services across Nigeria. Mrs Ododo emphasized the need to promote indigenous culture that fosters entrepreneurship, discipline, and unity among the people.

Speaking when she played host to women groups, former political office holders, and artists in her office in Lokoja, Mrs Ododo aligned her call with the Federal Government’s Nigeria First Policy. She expressed optimism that this measure would guarantee massive employment along various value chains, improve self-reliance, and boost the nation’s economy.

The First Lady assured that the Governor Ododo-led administration is working to promote self-sustenance, particularly in the creative industry, to create wealth for the teeming youths. She also emphasized the need to revive traditional societal norms and values that had positively impacted the nation’s well-being in the past.

Mrs Ododo reiterated her call for harmony and tolerance among citizens of Kogi State, irrespective of tribe, religion, or party differences, saying that unity is essential for good governance to thrive.

The First Lady received a prestigious award of recognition from the Ebira Tao Youth Association, Lokoja, for Mrs Ododo’s support and upliftment of vulnerable groups in the state.
