Kogi Emergency Agency Donates Relief Materials to Tiv Community in Mopamuro

Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) has donated relief materials to Tivs community in Mopamuro.
It will be recalled that the Tivs community in two Mopamuro Tivs settlement and one in Ilu Agba of Ijumu Local Government were attacked by suspected Fulani herdsmen on 13th May, 2018 resulting to destruction of life and properties.
Presenting the materials on behalf of the Administrator, Hon Moses Sunday David who was in Lokoja for an official assignment, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon Segun Arogbonlo assured the victims of their safety.
“The government has put in place formidable security architecture to forestall a repeat of the sad incident,”  he said.
Responding on behalf of the Tivs community, Mr John Auka was full of gratitude to the government for identifying with them.
“I am particularly grateful to the Administrator for standing with us by paying our hospital bills and donating food items immediately the incident happened,” Mr John who spoke through an interpreter said.
Items donated includes Mattresses and beddings, mosquito nets and foods items like beans, rice and palm oil.
