Kogi Education Commissioner Commends Smooth Conduct of NABTEB Exams, Inspect Schools

Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, has applauded the conduct of National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) exams in the state.

Jones gave the commendation when he visited and monitored ongoing exams at Government Technical College in Oboroke on Friday.

He urged students to remain focused on their studies, while emphasizing the state government’s commitment to free education and examination fees for public schools, including WAEC, NABTEB, JAMB, BECE, Common Entrance, and Basic Six Examination.

His visit to Government Technical College Oboroke was part of his state-wide inspection of schools.

The Commissioner, who led a team of officials from the Ministry of Education on a comprehensive inspection of schools across the state, said the primary objective of the visit was to assess the condition of school infrastructure and facilities, ensuring that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to improving the education sector in the state is upheld.

During the inspection, the team visited various schools, including Abdulazeez Atta Memorial College (AAMCO), Ebira Community Secondary School in Okene, and Government Technical College in Oboroke. The Commissioner interacted with students and teachers, highlighting the government’s dedication to providing a conducive learning environment for all.
