Kogi East: Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho Flags Off Free Medical Outreach in 9 LGAs

The Senator representing Kogi East, Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho has flagged off free medical outreach for poor and vulnerable persons across the nine local government areas that constituted constituency in Kogi State.

The free medical outreach was manned by team of doctors, pharmacists and other medical personnel who will examine patients, provide them with free drugs and perform surgeries where necessary.

Speaking with newsmen on Monday, shortly after flagging off the medical gesture, Senator Echocho, who was represented by the Alhaji Danlami Garba, the Senior Legislative Aide, disclosed that the Senator’s free medical outreach would cover nine local government areas of Kogi East.

According to him, the medical outreach would consist of providing free drugs on diabetes, hypertension and malaria to the less privileged persons in the area.

He further revealed that the team of medical doctors would also perform free eye surgeries, provide free medical glasses, operate those suffering from hyenea, person and persons with dental problems would all be examined, treated and provided with free drugs as part of Senator Echocho’s kind gesture and assistance to his constituency.

The coordinator of the programme, further explained that the event was flagged off at Primary Health Care Onyedega, in Ibaji local government, where people from different part of the local government received free medication.

The outreach was for the nine local government as the team will visit all the nine local government areas of Kogi East.
