Sequel to a rejoinder by Yusuf Abubakar on Kogi East senatorial race, as published by Kogireports – (https://kogireports.com/senator-aidoko-sir-kogi-east-must-be-free-a-rejoinder/).
Abubakar Yusuf you’re a disgrace to Igalaland and Kogi East in general for advocating Atai Aidoko’s return to the senate in 2019. Your so called rejoinder is a deception and a disservice to Kogi East in particular and Kogi State generally.
First, what has been Aidoko’s contributions to Kogi East since he began his political career in 1999 or was it 2003 with membership of House of Representative (two terms); then to Senate up till today?
Two, you claimed Aidoko was to be assassinated in Idah during the botched senatorial primaries and that was why he didn’t show up. This is blatant blackmail, blue lie and a height of political disdain and irresponsibility on Kogi East generally and PDP in particular.
Thirdly, how can Aidoko who moves with a retinue of Soldiers, mobile policemen and agents claim he is afraid of attending the venue a primary because of some purported threats of assassination? Was it not the same Aidoko that changed the venue of senatorial primaries from Ayingba to Idah through his dubious and desperate acts of litigation in 2011? So, if anything and anybody planned to assassinate Aidoko, surely, it’s not the co-contestants but his failed, bad, unproductive, greedy and unrepresentative representation over these past several years in the National Assembly.
Fourthly, the botched PDP Idah senatorial contest would have been a bipolar horse race between Messrs John Ibrahim Ocheje and  Victor Alewo Adoji as no single delegate, except, perhaps, those from Olamaboro, gave any thought to Aidoko as an aspirant in the race or at all.
Fifthly, Aidoko is already a sinking ship he will be deluding himself if he thinks he will get back to National Assembly in 2019. His present mandate is even illegitimate in that  Isaac Alfa has since been declared winner of Kogi East Senatorial seat though the powers that be have refused to enforce or implement that judgement and allowed him to remain a defacto senator.
Finally, I want assure all Abubakar Yusufs of Kogi East and their self serving mentor, Aidoko, that every PDP member in Kogi East will mobilize to vote him out in February, 2019 in sha Allah. We’re not even waiting for APC to do that for us. Kogi East is better off in post 2019 without an Aidoko in the Red Chambers.
