The Atai Aidoko Ali (AAA) Continuity Group has charged the nine local government party chairmen from Kogi East senatorial district to go all out to educate the electorate on the need to vote Senator Atai Aidoko again in the next dispensation with their new status.
Spokesman of the group, Idris Yakubu gave the charge in Lokoja on Sunday.
He harped on the need to educate the electorate on the advantages of the ranking status of the senator, stating the risk of bringing on board freshers that will not augur well for the people of the area politically, economically or otherwise.
The spokesman of the group assured the chairmen that the area will be better for it in terms of employment opportunities and socio-economic development of the area to better the lives of the people.
The group maintained that it will amount to wrong decision for the people of the area to risk dropping their votes for a novice to the National Assembly, particularly at this crucial point in time in the lives of the people of Kogi East.
He said Senator Aidoko is tested and trusted in the comity of the elected representatives at the upper chamber, and with prospects that will be beneficial to the social safety nets of the people.
He urged them to detonate the impression generally been touted by the opponents of the senator and aggrieved party members, saying in the last eight years at the senate, a lot of human and physical development have been achieved.
Idris advised the party chairmen to reciprocate the recent gesture from Senator Aidoko, through genuine efforts to detach the people of Kogi East from the shackles of leaders without peoples feelings and welfare on their mind.
He urged other members of the local government executives of the party to key into the project of returning Kogi East senator, so as to return the party and the area to the path of glory.
