A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered Senate President Bukola Saraki to immediately swear in Air Vice Marshal Isaac Alfa (rtd) as the winner of the 2015 Kogi East Senatorial seat.
The Supreme Court had on January 23 upheld the judgement of a Federal High Court on June 13, 2018 ordering Senator Atai Aidoko Ali Usman to vacate the Kogi East Senatorial District seat.
Justice Anwuli Chikere struck out the application by Senator Aidoko seeking for a review of the earlier judgement.
2019 Presidential and National Assembly elections are expected to hold this Saturday, February 23.
