The Abenelo Youth Movement has declared its full endorsement of Hon Hilary Amodu for the Kogi East senate seat in the 2027 general elections.
According to the youth group, for many years, their people have longed for true representation—someone who understands their struggles, feels their pain, and genuinely works to improve their lives.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Arome Ocholi on Tuesday.
“Today, we boldly say that in Hon Hilary Amodu, we have found that leader.
“We speak not just as a movement, but as the voice of countless young people whose lives have been touched by his kindness and leadership. Hon Hilary Amodu is not just a politician; he is a man of the people. He walks with the grassroots, listens to the cries of the poor, and never turns his back on those in need.
“Many of our youths can testify to the opportunities he has created—through education support, empowerment programmes, and job initiatives. At a time when many had lost hope, he gave them a reason to believe again. He has lifted many from the streets, given them dignity, and shown that leadership can truly make a difference.
“We have seen leaders come and go, but few have shown the level of compassion, dedication, and consistency that Hon Hilary Amodu has shown over the years. His actions speak louder than words. He has proven that he is ready, capable, and willing to serve at a higher level,” the statement read.
The group noted that the Senate is not just a place for politics, but a place where the future of their people is decided.
“We believe that Hon Hilary Amodu has the courage to speak for us, the wisdom to make the right decisions, and the heart to always put the people first.
“This endorsement comes from a place of sincerity and conviction. It is a call from the youths who are tired of empty promises and are ready for real change. It is a cry for leadership that truly cares.
“As we look towards 2027, we are not just supporting a candidate—we are supporting hope, progress, and a brighter future for our people,” the group stated.
The youth movement called on all youths, women, elders, and stakeholders across Kogi East senatorial district to join them in this journey and support a man who has already shown them what true service looks like.
