Prominent Nigerians have continued to pour encomiums on Comrade Amade Godwin Edime for declaring his intention to run for the Kogi East senatorial seat.
A protuberant legal luminary and onetime senior director at the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Barrister Shehu Aminu (Esq) added his own voice to the avalanche of affirmative echoes of Comrade Edime’s declared ambition to represent the people of Kogi East in the National Assembly, in the early hours of today, Tuesday, July 31 2018.
Barrister Shehu said he harbored no doubts that Comrade Edime’s real reason for throwing his hat into the contest for the senatorial seat was predicated upon his determined desire to serve selflessly, adding that deep inside the comrade was the desire to touch the lives of his people positively.
He Stated: “I will support you in any way I can because I know that deep inside you, you want to touch the lives of your people positively.
Barrister Shehu attested that he had known Comrade Edime for a long time now and that Nigeria needed an energetic and persevering person like him (Edime). The experienced Attorney further testified to the personality of the Comrade as a man who usually stayed true to any course he believed in, come rain, come shine.
In his words: “Nigeria needs energetic and persevering persons like you. I know you; you always stay true to a course, come rain, come shine.The Katsina-born lawyer however prayed God to crown Comrade Edime’s efforts with good success.
Responding, Comrade Edime thanked him for his prayers and for reposing so much confidence in his (Edime)’s abilities. He also commended the lawyer for being observant enough to have noticed his love for humanity, assuring the him that he didn’t come into the Kogi East Senatorial race for any personal gains but to better the lots of the downtrodden and the vulnerable in the society.
Comrade Edime is widely believed to be the favourite to win the next round of that senatorial election in Kogi East due to his grassroots acceptance, vibrancy, elite’s preference and possessing general hallmarks most suitable for an all-round legislator. He is running on the platform of the Advanced People’s Democratic Alliance (APDA).
