The National Association of Government General Medical and Dental Practitioners (NAGGMDP), Kogi State chapter, has congratulated the Kogi State Governor-elect, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo and his Deputy, Hon Joel Oyibo on their success at the just concluded gubernatorial election.
The congratulatory message was jointly signed by the Chairman of the association, Dr. Ugoh Stanley Nkemakolam and its Secretary, Dr. Okundaye Benson, and made available to journalists on Monday in Lokoja.
The association described the victory of the APC Candidate, Ododo and his deputy as an attestation of the yearnings of the people of Kogi State.
The doctors praised Governor Yahaya Bello for his doggedness and for ensuring a free, fair and credible elections in the state,
“There’s no doubt that the incoming Governor has all what it takes to move the state to the next level.
“NAGGMDP is optimistic that the incoming administration will address the welfare challenges faced by doctors in the state which include the upward review of the 2014 CONMESS.
“Others are: Non implementation of Hazard allowances, rural allowance and the shortage of Manpower in the Kogi State Hospital Management Board which has made life very difficult for her members in the face of the fuel subsidy removal,” the association said.
The Chairman also used the opportunity to pray for the outgoing governor – His Excellency Alhaji Adoza Yahaya Bello for his developmental strides in the last few years.
The group further commended the governor for conducting the most peaceful Gubernatorial election so far in the history of the state.
