Kogi Deputy Governor Urges APC Stakeholders to Unite

The deputy governor of Kogi state, Elder Simon Achuba, has charged the All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders in Ibaji local government area to imbibe the spirit of togetherness and support the present administration of the state led by governor Yahaya Bello in its determination to take the state to the next level of development.

Achuba who gave the charge at a reconciliatory meeting of the APC stakeholders in Ibaji Local Government Area in Lokoja today commended the stakeholders on their efforts in ensuring that the party won election in the last gubernatorial election in the state, urging them to remain United for the good of the people.

In a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Akor sylvester, the Deputy Governor appealed to the stakeholders to shun any act capable of creating division in the party, maintaining that the present government of the state led by Governor  Yahaya Bello is ready to attend to the needs of the people, “no matter where you come from”.

The Deputy Governor assured the forum that “road” which is the main problem of the area, has been given attention by the government.

He called on others who are still standing on the fence to give their support to the leadership of the state, stating that the Kogites have started enjoying the dividend of democracy.

The Deputy Governor further appealed to the people to maintain the existing peace in the areas, stating that without peace, the needed development in the area will not be achieved.

In his speech, the former House of Representatives member representing Ibaji, Idah and Odolu local government areas, Hon Frank Ineke thanked the deputy governor for his fatherly role in Ibaji local government, praying God to give him and the governor wisdom and understanding to take the state to a greater height.

Also speaking, the special adviser to the governor on agriculture, Hon David Apeh commended the deputy governor for deeming it necessary to unite the people, urging him to continue the good work for the development of the area.

He said that the present government of the state was instituted by God and therefore should be supported and honoured by every Kogite.
